I’m so grateful you are here to learn and digest this amazing information about you! If you haven’t already taken my Free Chakra Quiz you can do so here. This quiz will reveal your hidden strengths and weaknesses in your energy centers and what that means to you!
Here we go!
The FIRST of the Main Chakras is called The ROOT Chakra or MULDAHARA in Sanskrit.
It sits at the base of your spine and is developed in the womb to 6 months (some say 12 months).
The COLOR of this Chakra is a rich, vibrant RED.
This Chakra holds the power of transformation and change. This Chakra is at the base and is responsible for issues related to safety, security, survival and our basic physical needs. Because of this Chakra….we exist.
This Chakra holds our identity, it roots and sustains us in our daily life. Wow! This Chakra holds a lot of power and responsibility! Muldahara literally means base support….it supports everything about who we are, who we have become and it rules our physical energies and drives self-preservation. Think of this Chakra as being your foundation. Everything else rests upon this foundation.
Your ROOT Chakra is either overactive, underactive or balanced.
Characteristics of Someone With an Imbalanced Root Chakra:
Greed and paranoia issues take over. This person becomes obsessed with money or the lack of it and therefore becomes greedy in order to protect what they perceive to have. They are stingy (yet sometimes want to be perceived as being generous), and have a hard time letting go of control. Eating disorders are present on some level or at some time in this persons life. Everything is fearful and a potential risk. It’s hard to feel safe for this person and the need for safety dominates. Depression and anxiety disorders are also usually present and this person may become suicidal or has thoughts around it. This Chakra is our root. If our root isn’t firmly grounded and balanced in security, safety and love then we will see and experience imbalances within.
Characteristics of Someone With a Balanced Root Chakra:
This person generally feels grounded, has good physical health, and this person is comfortable in their body. There is a general sense of safety and security, stability. This person has a lively career and enjoys what they do. They feel safe and secure in the world and look forward to their days with joy and a feeling of anticipation. They have an ability to be present in the here and now.
Do you feel like you need balancing? Don’t worry….most people need help in this area. My next post will include amazing and simple ways not only to feel like you are surviving but also thriving in this world! Don’t miss it this Wednesday (Feb. 22)
Glands/Organs/Body Parts of the Root Chakra:
The root chakra is associated with the adrenal glands, bones and hip joints, general immune system, bladder, kidneys, large intestine (constipation), menstruation, (cramps, heavy bleeding, irregular) knees, feet and many others.
Do you have an imbalance in your Root or Muldahara Chakra? Here are some questions to find out if you are balanced or not. Most people need work in this area so don’t feel bad if you do.
1) Do you or have you experienced any kind of eating disorder?
2) Do you generally feel secure and safe in this life?
3) Do you have suicidal thoughts or tendencies?
4) Do you struggle with your finances or fear your financial future?
There is so much more I could share with you about the Root Chakra but this gives a very good breakdown, what it represents in our body, imbalances and physical attributes.
The next post will cover simple and very effective ways to balance out your Root Chakra. This is essential because every Chakra builds upon the previous one. The Root Chakra is our foundation. Think of it as a house. A solid foundation will build a solid house. It’s hard to build anything on a shaky foundation. Let’s build this house together! I’m here, partnering with you because of my experience and my story.
Join me and share this with your loved ones so we can, one by one, build our health and awareness and learn to be the change we want to see in the world!
Peace Love and Light
